I seem to be on a hat binge lately. There is something fun about learning a new trick and seeing what you can do with it. I've been working on Fair Isle knitting, and I only bought a few colors from Knit Picks, so I'm generating black and green hats. I finished the box pattern hat over the weekend, and charted my own design on Saturday. I'm about 1/12 inches into the next green and black hat. Good news - payday is Thursday, and I can buy more colors then.
Work has become really interesting. For the last year it has been difficult to stay busy. There just wasn't enough work to do; being a slacker doesn't suit me. I rang the "I'm bored" bell a bunch and I think it's paid off. I have been given responsibilities for whole areas of admin (not just support tasks), and I am having to learn lots of new things and create systems for tracking my work to make sure nothing falls between the cracks. Apparently I'm doing a good job because I had the most wonderful annual review of my professional career yesterday. I think that my job may grow a bit more, and I may be...better appreciated (that's a code phrase) in the near future. Wish me luck for future goodness, and help me remember that I can post from home - this blog is important to me and I haven't been giving it the attention it deserves.
Fingers and toes crossed for things to go well for you, and the increased appreciation to be substantial.

Terrific news about your review! Of course, you deserve all the hurrahs in the world anyway. . .
Thanks for your nice words about Hannah and me. You have to realize, though, that I wouldn't post a picture that made either of us look bad. I may not look the way you think I do. ;)

You have no idea how much willpower it has taken me not to nag you to update, but now that I know I can remind you to post from home, well...
The hat looks great, and congrats on how well things are going at work!!!

Obviously I should've taken the "Cuzzin" out of my signature. Three guesses where the last place was where I left a comment!

Ryan, you are family to me. Only family would nag. :)

the hat is adorable! did you make up the pattern or where did you get it? Fair Isle Hat knitting looks really appealing to me. And congrats on the review and the hope for future increased appreciation!
